Come see “Christ 4 life” band.

This band was with us last April and we’re delighted that the are able to return.  This praise and worship band will lead us in contemporary Christian music and traditional hymns, accompanied by vocals, strings and percussion instruments.

All concerts and refreshments are free of charge.  Free will offerings to offset the band’s expenses are encouraged.

Come see EMIL and FRIENDS.

ENF is a 4-piece band from the Jersey Shore.  They’ll be here with acoustic guitars, drums, electric bass, keyboards and guitars.

They will lead us in worship with contemporary Christian music.  This is their encore performance at the cafe.  You can come in to hear their CD to get a taste of their great music.

Youth Double Header

“Blessed Hope” and John the Raptist

This night will be a real BLAST!

Opening will be “Blessed Hope”, a 4 piece band of college guys with a heart for God and other youth. They play Christian music with a rock and alternative sound.

Closing the evening will be a the famous JOHN the RAPTIST, the Walking, talking Bible who recites it Word for Word using rap, R and B, blues, salsa or anything else you can think of.  You can hear a preview of him here or his album at Body and Soul.

If you plan to bring a large youth group, please let us know well in advance so we can have enough “goodies” and space.

The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 12 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett.  The project was endorsed by Focus on the Family.

This study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective.  Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.

Body and Soul will be offering the opportunity to participate in this 12 week study.  A qualified trained leader has offered to teach this life changing course at the “Corner Cafe”.  If you are interested in being included in the group study, call or stop by the store to register.  The course will tentatively begin in July, every other Thursday evening from 7-8:30 pm.

Sessions will always be on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30pm.  First 8 dates are: July 8, July 29th, August 12 an d26, September 9 and 23, October 14 and 28.  The final 4 sessions may be moved to 2011 if folks find November and December schedules overloaded.  (all dates August through October are the 2nd and 4th Thursdays – July is the only exception.)

It is crucial that you confirm your participation in the program before June 30, since class size will be limited.  It is also important to make participation a priority if you register as a class member.
